Lonely in the Woods

Lonely in the Woods
In the midst of midnight, the clouds are gray
So lonely in the woods I lay.

Thinking of everything and still knowing nothing,
My mind wanders off into the abyss.

But in the clouds of gray reveals the midnight moon.
He comes to visit and shows his phases.

Moon says to love those who've loved him so,
through the phases when he's not so full.

Keeping me company in the woods, I lay

To the whispering willows, I listen
to the leaves rustling, I listen
to the crickets playing, I listen
to the wind weeping, I listen

I listen and I’m aware

Lying in the woods so bare
feeling all with every care.

Feeling the warm breeze kiss my body
takes me home.

Alongside the loveliest of nature's finest
originals, I am present.

Turns out I wasn't so lonely in the woods after all.
